  • Westview High School - Photography
Westview had limited lighting equipment for students to use. Students were dependent upon using one of six flashes when they'd like to create artifical lighting or a studio environment at home. The KMMF provided 5 sets of flashes, transceivers and flash stands! By the KMMF providing this equipment, the students had more opportunities to learn and practice. This also provided additional opportunities for the intermediate and advanced students. Additionally, I could teach off camera flash to my students.

The following are examples of various projects that all use flash, off camera flash, and the stands that were purchased. Thank you Kelly McGinnis Memorial Foundation!

Garfield High School - Culinary Arts
The group of three students were competing in the annual Teen Iron Chef competition at the end of January. We were not allowed to use school funds to purchase ingredients for the competition. Thus requested help from the KMMF.
Thank you for your support of Garfield high school. Because of your donation, we were able to purchase the necessary ingredients for practice. This helped our students secure a win as the best teen chefs in San Diego!!
The kids were beyond ecstatic. All three of them were offered jobs at a new restaurant that is opening in Liberty Station in March. Thanks again!
